General Conference

I remember the days way back when we would have to go to our stake center to watch general conference via satelite. Then we got to watch it on tv. Now we watch it on the internet. This past conference, Melchor and I drove up to Utah to attend conference, visit and stay with friends and just plain party. We left Thursday morning (the boys stayed at home by themselves) and got to Draper at dinner time. Friday we ran errands and had friends over for a filipino dinner. Sat. we listened and watched the first two sessions as we drove up to Park City to help our friends clean up their condo. We played tourists and saw the town. Came home, watched the second session of conference and then went to a party before heading out to see the play "Anne Frank"..which by the way was pretty good. On the way home from SLC, it rained...up til then, the weather was very nice. When we woke up on Sunday morning, we found out that it had snowed over night..about a couple of feet. It was great and very cold. We watched the morning session of conference and then headed out to SLC for the final session. It was great to be in the presence of prophets. We had a picnic in the car and then we went to a filipino fireside. It was very good. We came home Monday afternoon safe and sound and that the boys did not kill each other. With in 30 min. it was back to reality with doing the laundry, what to fix for dinner and work calling me to see if I could work that night. The end to a fun and spritual weekend.
