Pediatric Paradise

This is my second night to work and when I did get to work, I found out much to my dismiss that it was my turn to float (I had just floated back in June, so I could not believe it was my turn to go). So off to peds I went. I was not a happy camper. I was given four babies to take care of. All with IVs, meds, parents that were staying the night (that is a plus) and being in unfamiliar territory, was the beginning of a long and stressful 12 hour shift. I knew a couple of the nurses, so at least I could ask them for help. The night started out hectic--not knowing where some things were, and iv going out, no supplies in the room---etc. Well, about after five hours of work, things got under control. About seven hours of work, I was comfortable. Come 7:30 am, I will be in paradise because I will be going home. I think that Heavenly Father puts us in "out of our comfort zone" situations, just to prove to ourselves that we CAN handle out of the ordinary circumstances, which help us grow and give us "look what I can do" times in our lives. I hope that you feel that way too. Hope you all had a good nights rest---I will get mine in about four hours from now.

Good job, Susan!! YOu know it's great to reaffirm to ourselves that we Can do hard things. That stretching is truly an uncomfortable and yet wonderful feeling--after it's through! I still don't know how you work all night! But I guess it's just what your body gets used to!
So you and Patty are having a party without me????? Don't forget the 18th lake trip!!vtvouzau
