Daddy's Day
Back on September 14th,1932, William Standish Coleman was born in El Paso, Texas. On February 12, 1955, he married Pattie Jeanne Hooper. On June 6, 1958, I was born. This made Bill a dad for the first time. I know that people say this about their own dads, but my dad is the best dad that Heavenly Father blessed any child with. He worked hard. Traveled alot. Did the yard work. Bbqd. Made egg nog for christmas. Made fresh squeezed oj from oranges from our orange tree. Taught me how to drive. Helped me with my math and french homework assignments. Had a great sense of humor when we hid the "board" from him when we would not go to bed. Put up with all the times that we got tp'd--he also made us clean it up. Put up with boys coming over--no matter what time it was. Drove me to early morning seminary and to work. Was very supportive when I made the decision to serve a mission. Was very proud of me when my husband and I got sealed in the temple. He has been there for me for each blessing, baptism and so far for each graduation, eagle scout honor and missionary farewell. He has always been there with willingness to help, give advice and to lead an ear. He is a traveler, hense the nickname "Bill C. tourist". Today my dad is spending the day his way, what doing what he likes to do, play golf and go out to dinner to one of his favorite restaurants with my mom. Happy birthday to you daddy dear!!
