Another Eagle in the House
Four years ago, Jeremy completed his eagle project. Two years ago, he received this hoor. So, it took him a little while to get it all together. Ryan said at the time that he would get his done faster then Jeremy did--he did!! I have to admit, Ryan was a whole lot easier to deal with then Jeremy. Ryan was really motivated and got things done without any "persuation". He did it yesterday. His project was to paint the address numbers on the curbs in a subdivision. There did arise one little incident in which a couple of sisters were about to paint the curb and a lady came running out of her house yelling at them not to do it, they were not allowed to do it and that she knew that once it was completed, she would be getting a bill and have to pay for it. After a few minutes of talking, the lady was finally convinced that it truely was a boy scout eagle project and she allowed them to continue (yeah Debbie and Patty). We had over 20 people come and help him. I did make 140 min muffins, got some of the paint (most of it was donated by Bro. Nappi--THANK YOU!!!), ice, tompica drinks, cups, water--I think that I did a good job too!! He was nervous, scared and a little shy about doing it, but at the end he was happy that it was all done and that he accomplished it all on this own, not to mention that an eagle project can be done in the heat!! A heartfelt thank you to all of those who came out and supported Ryan. Now, he just has two badges to complete and then the eagle court of honor--WHEW!!!
